In Vedic astrology, the zodiac is divided into 12 equal parts, each of which is called a rashi. These rashis are used to determine the position of planets, the timing of events in a person's life, and the overall energy of the cosmos. However, not all rashis are created equal. Some are classified as movable, fixed, or dual, each with its own unique characteristics and qualities.

Movable Rashis

The first group of Rashis is called the Movable Rashis. These are Aries (Mesha), Cancer (Karka), Libra (Tula), and Capricorn (Makara). As their name suggests, these rashis are associated with movement, change, and action. People born under these Rashis tend to be dynamic, active, and constantly in motion. They are driven by a sense of purpose and are always looking for new challenges and opportunities.

Movable Rashis are associated with the element of Fire and are ruled by the planets Mars (Aries), Moon (Cancer), Venus (Libra), and Saturn (Capricorn). These planets represent power, emotion, harmony, and discipline, respectively. The energy of these planets combined with the movement of the rashis creates a powerful force that can be harnessed for positive change and growth.

Fixed Rashis

The second group of Rashis is called Fixed Rashis. These are Taurus (Vrishabha), Leo (Simha), Scorpio (Vrishchika), and Aquarius (Kumbha). These Rashis are associated with stability, persistence, and determination. People born under these rashis tend to be reliable, loyal, and focused. They are known for their ability to stick with a task until it is completed, no matter how difficult or challenging it may be.

Fixed Rashis are associated with the element of earth and are ruled by the planets Venus (Taurus), Sun (Leo), Mars (Scorpio), and Saturn (Aquarius). These planets represent beauty, power, transformation, and discipline, respectively. The energy of these planets combined with the stability of the Rashis creates a powerful force that can be harnessed for long-term success and achievement.

Dual Rashis

The third group of Rashis is called the Dual Rashis. These are Gemini (Mithuna), Virgo (Kanya), Sagittarius (Dhanu), and Pisces (Meena). These Rashis are associated with adaptability, flexibility, and versatility. People born under these Rashis tend to be resourceful, creative, and open-minded. They are able to adjust to new situations quickly and are not afraid to take risks or try new things.

Dual Rashis are associated with the element of air and are ruled by the planets Mercury (Gemini and Virgo), Jupiter (Sagittarius), and Jupiter and Neptune (Pisces). These planets represent communication, knowledge, growth, and spirituality, respectively. The energy of these planets combined with the adaptability of the Rashis creates a powerful force that can be harnessed for personal growth and spiritual development.

Inference

In Vedic astrology, the classification of Rashis into movable, fixed, and dual categories is an important tool for understanding the energy of the cosmos and the qualities of individuals born under each sign.

If 4 or more Planets occur with Movable Rashis (1,4,7,10) in a person's kundali, then the person experiences movement of body, tongue meaning his personality will be Movable.

Similar logic applies to other Fixed and Dual Rashis ones Kundali to determine his personality.
